Comments

1WINNIE'S HORSE  M L Yeung  (P/TT)

Sent to the front from draw 1, led uncontested, edged away from pursers mid-straight, had enough in hand to fend off 2nd late stages.

2INDUSTRIALIST WAY  A Suborics  (TT)

Sat reserved behind midfield, well covered in a 2-wide position, responded positively inside 300M, got up for 2nd 80M and was closest to winner at the line.

3TURBO JEWELLERY  K C Ng  (B/TT)

Behind midfield, unable to slot in from 13 and was strung out in the 4-path making the first turn, no cover to straight, ran on well enough to take 3rd despite covering more ground than rivals.

4CARTOON FAY FAY  K Teetan

Never far off but unable to tuck in and raced primarily in the 3-path without cover, kept up the pursuit in straight before flattening out 100M. (Blood in trachea / Lame next day.)

5BUDDY BUDDIES  O Doleuze  (B)

Settled down along the rails 4Ls behind leader, angled out into clear 300M and stayed on moderately.

6IMPERIAL CONCORDE  T H So  (TT)

Settled along the rails near the rear, travelled strongly in the race, held up and unable to improve position until 350M, closed off well between runners.

7ENTRUSTING  H N Wong  (SR)

Began awkwardly, eased to the rear before first turn, 7-8Ls off the pace middle stages, still last 300M and not clearest of runs mid-straight, kicked home belatedly showing the best stride late.

8PO CHING TREASURE  N Callan  (B/TT)

Chased leader along the 2-path from the start, pushed along 500M but offered limited response, swamped by rivals final 150M.

9HORSE APLENTY  B Prebble  (B/H)

Stayed within striking distance, taken keen hold, came out 3-wide in pursuit from 800M, kept up the chase on winner in straight and held 2nd to 100M, no extra late stages.

10VERDANE  D Whyte  (B)

Reserved near the rear 5-6Ls behind leader, was primarily 3-wide throughout the race, pushed along top of the bend, stayed on mildly down outside, not reaching leaders.

11SYSTEM OVERLOAD  D Lane

Towards the rear 6Ls off the pace, remained patiently handled until top of the straight, gave limited response only and never a threat to leaders.

12DOUBLE GLORY  C Y Ho  (B)

Fractious in stalls, jumped awkwardly and lost significant amount of ground, recovered along the fence to race within range of the leaders to top of the straight before fading away 250M.

13DANEWIN EXPRESS  M Chadwick  (H/XB/TT)

Began awkwardly, settled down 4Ls back in midfield but no closer than 3-wide throughout, not picked up when asked for effort entering straight.

14GRAND PLUS  K C Leung  (P/TT)

Slow to begin, raced fiercely early stages, held up behind cover 2-wide in midfield, under pressure nearing home straight, had little left by 200M and weakened away.
