Slowest out, but had no trouble getting forward to sit handy with cover. Tracked behind leader to the 300m, pulled out and ran on strongly. Kicked again when challenged by second late
2SUNNY PEARL  H N Wong  (XB/TT)

Began well, and pushed forward to share the lead on the rails. Got working from the 300m, and pulled away with winner. Kicked again late, but just missed.
3STARTING OVER  O Doleuze  (TT)

Elected to drop back after jumping to sit mid field on the fence. Went looking for runs outside in the straight, before taking a run along the rails. Finished off fairly, but weakening near the line.
4JUN GONG  W M Lai

Got back early to sit worse than midfield, on the fence with cover. Ran on OK late without threatening.
5HAPPY BAO BEI  N Rawiller  (H)

Jumped with them and pushed to lead early when racing keenly, before sitting 1 off 1 back. Didn't have much kick in the straight, and only finished off fairly.
6WILD BOY  Y T Cheng  (B)

Began well, and moved forward to sit handy but on heels. Had a small kick when asked the question in the straight, but only ran on fairly after that.
7BIG FOUR  D Lane  (H)

Dropped back from the jump to sit last. Pushed forward from the 800m to sit closer to midfield. Didn't get a run until 200m, and ran on fairly from there.
8WINNING KING  M L Yeung  (CP/XB/TT)

Jumped well, and taken forward to eventually sit handy, three wide with no cover. Was a tired horse late, and only plugged on fairly.
9BULLISH SMART  A Suborics  (CP/TT)

Jumped OK, and taken back to sit midfield, one off with cover. Had clear air in the straight, but never ran on and only hands and heels in the last 100m.
10COLOSSUS  D Whyte  (H)

Trapped 4-5 wide with no cover from the widest gate, before dropping back to rear of the field with cover. Came widest on turn, but didn't have much left in the tank, and was only fair. Blood in the trachea.
11FIVE UP HIGH  N Callan  (E)

Awkwardly away and ridden up early to share the lead. Gave nothing when placed under pressure in straight, and faded badly from the 200m. Unacceptable performance.
12GALLANT TRIUMPH  B Prebble  (B2/TT)

Dropped back from the wide draw to sit towards the rear of the pack, three wide but with cover. Didn't respond in straight, and weakened out from 200m.
13ANIMATION MASTER  T H So  (TT1)

Jumped OK, but ended up sitting midfield three wide rounding the first turn. Handily placed on turn, but peaked early in the straight, weakened badly and eased out late.
14FLYING TOURBILLON  K C Leung  (B/TT)

Began OK, but wouldn't settle early, had the head in the air and was trapped 5 wide midfield, before dropping to the rear. Race was effectively over by the turn, and eased out of it.
