Began awkwardly but soon recovered, travelled well in midfield 4-5Ls off the pace, made smooth headway when taking out 450M, shot clear inside 200M, kept on strongly despite drifting in final stages.
2BLAZING SPEED  C Y Lui  (TT)

Not far off early stages, steadied near 500M and lost position, got back to it passing 300M, closed off well to claim 2nd near line but no impression on winner.
3HELENE SPIRIT  A Suborics  (TT)

Within striking distance always, had every chance when presented with clear run 400M, couldn't match winner's pace, kept on steadily to hold 2nd until headed final strides.
4RAINBOW CHIC  Z Purton  (TT)

Taken across behind runners, behind midfield and proved difficult to settle middle stages, badly held up major part of straight, ran on when clear final 100M and steadily getting to the 3rd. (Protest on 3rd overruled.)
5DESTINED FOR GLORY  K C Leung  (XB/TT)

Not hurried early stages, reserved near the rear, had difficulty obtaining clear run early straight, stayed on final 200M without threatening.

Switched off to last, waited with till passing 350M, closed well from off the pace.

Settled towards the rear, 3-wide for much of the way, brought widest turning home, made steady progress. Encouraging effort.
8ADMIRATION  T Angland  (CP)

Positively ridden from wide barrier, tracked leader 2-wide, kept on same pace when placed under pressure turning home, out of contention 150M.
9AKEED MOFEED  D Whyte  (XB)

Held up near the rear in a 2-wide spot, hung badly early straight and was slow to pick up when balanced, awkwardly placed final stages and not able to be ridden out. (Jockey questioned.)
10PENGLAI XIANZI  M L Yeung  (TT)

Sent forward, led uncontested at a steady tempo to straight, kept on same pace when driven out, headed inside 250M, no extra final stages.
11BULLISH CHAMPION  M Chadwick  (H/TT)

Settled well on the heels of the leader, badly held up along the fence in straight, not properly tested.

Niggled along to keep up with the early pace, caught 3-wide no cover to straight, found little under pressure, out of contention mid-straight.

Positioned ahead of midfield along the 3-path, bid wide 600M, outpaced 300M, steadied mid-straight and eased.

Travelled 3-wide in midfield, difficult to settle passing 800M, not quickened turning in, never factored.
