Ridden forward from outside draw to sit one-off behind leader at turn. Distant 3rd entering straight, dug in from 200m to gradually overhaul leader.

Jumped well and hard ridden to pull 3-lengths clear at 800m. Kicked ahead entering straight, still well clear 200m, run down final stages.

Outpaced and dropped to last, moving closer to fence. Improved around turn, took rails run in straight, finished strongly.
4MASQUERADER  R Fourie  (B)

Flopped out start, raced keenly from 1000m, then close to heels dropping back. Taken wide 400m, ran on strongly, shifting out under pressure from 200m.
5IMPERIAL ROME  W C Marwing  (TT)

Checked start, dropping back and moving closer to rail. Improved position around turn, followed winner from 300m, making ground to the line.

Jumped with field and kept behind pace 2-back the fence. Distant 4th entering straight but kept on steadily to be closest at finish.

Ridden forward from wide draw but was close on heels 1000m and kept wide without cover. Was close on heels again 600, but finished off OK when clear.

Jumped well and patiently ridden along rail behind tearaway leader. Was 2nd into straight and still there at 200m before swamped final stages.

Crowded start but recovered and soon racing on his own behind midfield. Taken out 400m to make run but only one-paced.

Outpaced early and soon in last pair, dropping to last entering straight. Taken widest 400m and made up some late ground.

Began awkwardly and shifted out abruptly. but then made up ground along fence to be 6th entering straight. One-paced after that. Blood in trachea.

Unbalanced start, recovered and raced on his own behind midfield to straight. Found little under hard riding final 400m.

Began well and ridden forward from widest draw but then trapped wide and raced without cover. Started to give ground after entering straight.
