Restrained to rear from widest gate, races at rear 8ls back on rails, well back to turn, weaved passage saving ground between horses in straight, closed over the top final 150m for a solid win.
2WRATH OF FIRE  T Angland

No early pace, raced in rear division 6-7ls back, soft time on rails, angled out turning, closed well down middle finding winner too good final 100m.
3BEAUTY LEAD  M Chadwick  (TT)

Showed speed, took up running, set even tempo, kicked to 200m but didn't have extra to repel challenge of principals inside final furlong.
4BUSINESS AS USUAL  W C Marwing  (H)

Took a prominent spot outside leader, fair run with even speed on, challenged turning, held on ok to make frame.
5BEAUTY TOUCH  F Coetzee  (H/TT)

Settled at rear from a tricky gate, best part of 8ls back in running line, made run down middle making many lengths to be nearest on line.
6BEST SHOW  Z Purton

Took a midfield position 3-4ls back in running line, had soft trip to turn, stayed on evenly in straight to be not far away at finish.
7NOBLE ALPHA  B Prebble

Unable to slot in and posted 3 wide without cover, worked hard 2-ls away in mid-section, loomed turning and did hit lead at 200m, work load took toll and folded late.
8KING OF SCOTS  K C Leung

Enjoyed easy trip 3-4ls back on rails, not asked throughout, came two wide turning, just finished at same speed holding ground in stretch.
9SCARLET CAMELLIA  G Mosse  (TT)

Caught wide from outset from a tricky alley, 4 horses wide without cover on circle 4-5ls away in mid-section, no real progress from 300m.
10REAL GENEROUS  W M Lai  (B/H/TT)

Raced 2-3 wide just off midfield 5ls or so away, reasonable trip to bend, in traffic turning and without a run to 200m, kept on ok when clear but race was over by that stage.

Ended up at rear racing 3 wide 8ls off top end, always well back and was last turning, set too much to do and only passed tired ones late.

Showed good speed to lead briefly before taking a trail, travelled strongly in 1 out 1 back spot, there to turn, lacked usual finish and was disappointing when dropping out in straight.

Slow out but mustered to hold a spot behind leader on rails, no excuses to turn, gave in easily and dropped away considerably late.

In rear division 7ls or so back in running line, always well back, offered nothing.
