Close up behind pacesetter, moved to take over 300M, couldn't match the finishing speed of the winner passing 200M, rallied to hold 2nd.

Reserved behind midfield, caught 3-wide without cover, found his best stride final 200M, got up for 3rd near line, nearest finish.

Settled 2-wide in midfield, inconvenienced at 1200M, niggled along 500M out, clear run from 400M, found less than expected and couldn't close on leaders, lost 3rd near line.

Quickly dropped back, settled at the rear over 10Ls off the pace in middle stages, made subtle headway inside 300M, got up for 5th near the line.

Lost ground at the start, settled near last, ran on final 400M but no impression on leaders.

Held up in mid-division, had every chance, kept on steadily without troubling the first four.
