Began well and quickly into stride to get across for rails run in the lead, held running until joined early in straight, fought on well to maintain clear advantage inside final 100 M.

2REAL GENEROUS  M Du Plessis  (B/H/TT)

Began moderately, travelled mainly in midfield on rails, saved ground turning in, briefly baulked after straightening, made steady progress down inner without threatening.

3LUCKY NISTELROOY  M Guyon  (V/TT)

Began fairly from the middle draw, raced wide without cover in a prominent position down far side, around the bend and into the straight, came under hard driving inside final 350 M but failed to quicken to threaten. (Tactic questioned.)

Began with others, soon taken back to race 3-wide behind runners in midfield, looked quickening after straightening but unable to sustain effort inside final 200 M.

Reared shortly before the start, began with others but soon taken well back, hampered 300 M out before making up good late ground in the run home.
