Tracked the leading duo. Had to be checked near the 200m, but recovered nicely to take the lead 50m out.
2STAR LEGEND  W C Marwing  (PC/H)

Ridden and along and eventually crossed from an inside gate to race towards the grandstand side and lead after the 500m. Shifted to the outside fence near the 250m, and maintained a good gallop to the finish.
3DIVINITY POWER  H W Lai  (H1)

Settled midfield near the center of the course. Closed off well.
4HOT PEPPER  K C Ng  (TT)

Travelled in fourth position about 2 off the outside fence. Ran on gradually without threatening.
5GENERAL DANROAD  J Lloyd

Settled well back close to the middle of the track. Made some ground over the final 300m.
6REAL GENEROUS  Y T Cheng  (H)

Camped midfield just off the grandstand side. Ran on well despite having to be steadied to avoid heels near the 200m.
7REAL DRAGON  M Chadwick  (TT)

Raced in a handy position about 4 off the outside fence. Showed little when placed under pressure after the 400m.
8GOLDEN YIELD  O Doleuze  (H-/B1/TT)

Led along the outside rail but was headed prior to the 450m. Copped interference near the furlong and struggled thereafter. Vet reported respiratory noise post race. (See Racing Incident report.)

Missed the start then was crowded soon after settling in last position. Drifted towards the middle of the course and passed some tiring runners.
10SOLAR GREAT  B Prebble

Slow to begin settling midfield on the grandstand side. Plugged away in the run to the line.

Raced near the tail of the field near the outside rail. Laboured over the last 300m.

Raced close to the grandstand side close to midfield. Failed to make any ground when asked for an effort at the business end of the race.
13VIVA DOLPHIN  W M Lai  (SR/TT1)

Raced towards the centre of the course in about a midfield position. Failed to find any extra when placed under pressure over the final furlong.

Didn’t show any early dash and settled well back in the event. Never looked likely and struggled over the final 300m.
