Comments

1TOM'S EIGHTH  M Chadwick  (B/TT)

Travelled well along the fence in midfield, moved into contention nearing 600M, responded positively when asked, hit lead passing 250M and kept on well to the line under some confident handling.

2EAGLE SPIRIT  M Du Plessis  (TT)

Tracked leader in a slowly run race, moved to one out one back passing 800M, bid outside the eventual winner turning for home and no match while well clear of the rest.

3GOODVIEW SUCCESSOR  D Whyte

Never far off the pace, driven inside 600M, not pace to challenge first two but stayed on final 200M to go 3rd close home.

4WIN PRACTITIONER  G Mosse  (TT)

Dropped back to last 8Ls off the slow pace in the first half, moved closer approaching the home turn, driven out 600M, stayed on fairly and not threatening.

5MONTE CRISTO  G Cheyne  (B2/TT)

In midfield along the 2-path, switched to 3-wide nearing 600M, stayed on fairly and never looked like getting to the leaders.

6HANDSOME BATCHELOR  M L Yeung  (SW/XB)

Quickly into stride, led uncontested throughout and set a slow pace especially in the first half, headed nearing 200M, weakened and lost a placing close home. (Lame next day.)

7HEAR THE ROAR  D Beadman  (H1)

Settled towards the rear in a slowly run affair, niggled along 800M out but gave very limited response, never in contention and ran well below par. (Jockey and Trainer questioned re the disappointing performance.)

8GLORY OF INDIA  J Lloyd  (TT)

Caught 3-wide no cover early stages when urged along to obtain a forward position, was pushed wide again inside 800M, dropped right away entering the straight. (Jockey reported his horse hung in.)

9MAJESTIC HEART  C K Tong  (B/H)

Began awkwardly, settled near last 7Ls off the slow pace, taken to 3-wide approaching the home turn, pushed along 600M out but failed to reach a contending position, eased inside 200M.
