Comments

1ISTIDE  J Winks  (TT)

Well away, pushed on to race outside leader, in a battle for spot early with pace on, relaxed well 1L back on bend, headed at 300 M but fought back strongly to claim win on line.

2APPRECIATION  D Whyte  (B)

Showed plenty of early speed, unable to slot in and forced to race 3 wide without cover, did share of work to bend, in battle to lead at 300 M, kept on bravely and went down narrowly final 50 M.

3TOY STORY  B Prebble  (SR1)

Assumed a midfield role from an awkward draw, raced 3 wide with cover in mid-section, 3Ls down on bend, closed nicely in straight to go down in 3 way go.

4CLEMENT ELITE  G Mosse  (XB)

Standard jump, posted 4 wide without cover when improving in midfield, set too much to do in middle stages, continued to close on turning and fought out finish with first few just tiring last 50 M.

5BULLISH WIN  M Chadwick  (B/TT)

Began well, assumed 1 out 1 back spot, had ideal run in mid-section, right there on turning, just kept on at one speed behind eventual placegetters to be not far away on line.

6SUPER SATIN  D Beadman  (B-)

Only fair to begin, ended up 5Ls away on fence, used little to bend, made good progress along rails before running into traffic inside 100 M and was not ridden out late.

7GO DAN GO  Z Purton

Out in line, took a midfield spot 3 to 4Ls back, difficult to settle in middle stages, same margin back on turning, stayed on evenly in straight without looking a serious threat.

8WHIPLASH  C K Tong

Taken back from outside alley, ended up 7Ls away at rear, improved 3 wide on circle when field packed, switched out turning, made gradual progress late to be nearest on line.

9RAISING SUN  Y T Cheng

Slow out, mustered to drive forward and hold lead, backed off tempo past 1000 M, still held a length lead turning, couldn't go up a notch and headed at 300 M, just battled thereafter.

10BOLERO  O Doleuze  (TT)

Standard beginning, ended up 3 wide in behind midfield 5Ls from pace, improved 4 wide with cover on bend, lacked usual finish and just held ground final 200 M.

11CHEEKY LAD  K C Leung  (V)

Began with move purpose, had an ideal run on leaders back 2Ls away throughout, right there turning, held up to 200 M, lacked dash when clear running presented, battled late.

12MULTO EXPRESSO  M W Leung  (SW)

Fair break, assumed a spot 5Ls back just behind midfield, difficult to settle in middle stages, back in pace on turning, made no serious progress.

13QUALITY-QUALITY  H W Lai

No early pace, soon in rear division 6Ls away on rails, still rearward with job to do on turning, lacked usual finish and never looked likely late.

14FAT CHOY ICHIBAN  C W Wong

Slow into stride, back with last few 6Ls away in running line, always well back, had job to do turning, battled away in straight.
