Comments

1TUSCAN SPIRIT  D Whyte

Drawn low but quickly moved across the track to race in a prominent position towards the stands' side, alongside leader 400 M out and he accelerated away to score impressively.

2CRAIG'S DRAGON  D Beadman  (B)

Given a waiting ride in the early stages, 2Ls behind leaders on the outside of main group, crept closer passing halfway, sent on near 400 M, finished strongly and pushed the winner all the way to the line. Ran creditably in defeat.

3BOOMING CITY  H W Lai  (B/TT)

Reasonable jump, settled between horses in mid-division, kept on well when pressed but didn't pose a werious threat to the first two.

4BUNDLE O' GOLD  B Doyle

Held up near the rear in a position towards the centre of track, kicked home near 400 M, couldn't find the change of gear needed despite running on well to the line.

5GUNNER MAC  M Chadwick

Patiently ridden in a rearward position 3Ls behind leaders, took a while to get going but stayed on OK towards the end.

6JIANG JUN  C W Wong  (XB/TT)

Away well enough, assumed a midfield spot not far off from leaders in early stages, outpaced passing 500 M, shaken up and switched out for a run, finished off the race nicely.

7BLAZE KING  W C Marwing

Average jump, moved to the front and led them along on the stands' side, travelled fairly to 400 M, soon headed and faded gradually in the run to the line.

8DYNAMIC BLITZ  O Doleuze  (XB)

Tracked leaders down the centre of track, responded only fairly when placed under pressure passing 400 M, faded gradually in the run to the line.

9CANNONISE  M L Yeung  (B/TT)

Drawn low and raced alone on the far side, hung out badly passing 400 M when being ridden out, got tired inside 200 M.

10ALWAYS GIGGLE  B Prebble  (B)

In a rearward position throughout, attempted a run down the stands' rail passing 400 M but found little in the tank, hung away from the rail inside 200 M.

11HIGH MARK  Y T Cheng  (TT)

Took advantage of the high draw and soon taken a position on the Stands' rail, travelled prominently behind leader, checked near 200 M and was unable to find a clear passage inside final 100 M. Not tested.

12LUCKY AMICI  J Winks  (SR1/TT1)

Broke well, held a handy position just behind the early pace, looked promising going into final 500 M but couldn't sprint with them when the race got serious.
