Comments

1TERRIFIC BRETHREN  M Chadwick  (TT)

First to hit ground, couldn't get closer than 3 wide and forced to race without cover 4Ls back, did plenty of work to bend, kept giving in straight to wear down rivals in shadows of post.

2MING HOI TREASURE  J Winks  (TT1)

Away in line, drove up into a midfield spot 3 to 4Ls back in 2 wide line, 4Ls off leader, inside eventual winner on turning, made a strong finishing effort only to be nailed close to line.

3KING DANCER  J Victoire

Moderate jump, drifted back to race 7Ls away in 2 wide line, travelled comfortably in mid-section, switched 3 wide on bend and wide still turning, flashed down middle making many lengths for 3rd.

4BOLERO  O Doleuze  (TT)

Well enough to begin, went forward to race on leaders back, had easy time to bend, eased out turning, hit lead at 250 M, overhauled near 100 M, kept on well to make frame.

5GOOD PARTNER  Z Purton  (XB)

Standard getaway, positioned just no worse than midfield 6Ls off pace, back in traffic turning, steadied 300 M, closed soundly when run emerged to be nearest on line.

6WISE LOVER  T H So  (B)

No pace as usual, ended up at rear, raced best part of 8Ls away, aided by early pace, still had job to do on turning, switched widest in straight and finished well to be closest at finish.

7GOUF  C W Wong

Positive jump, drifted back to get into 2 wide line, ended up 7Ls back in last few, back in traffic turning, only clear 300 M and closed well and hands and heels riding. (See Racing Incidents.)

8FLY ME TO THE MOON  M Du Plessis  (B-)

Jumped only fairly, taken to fence soon after, raced 4 to 5Ls off pace, saved ground to bend, took inside runs, tightened 250 M, made modest progress thereafter.

9SURE GOOD  C K Tong

Away in line, pressed on to race in coveted 1 out 1 back spot, 3Ls away used little to bend, close enough turning, lacked extra gear and just battled away at same pace.

10RED RULER  K C Leung  (V/TT)

Began well, pressed on to take up runs, raced keenly in front with company from outside horse, continued to travel strongly turning, there to 200 M but unable to keep on late.

11CIRCUIT HERO  K T Yeung  (B/TT)

Jumped nicely, pressed on to race outside leader, kept speed genuine sharing front to bend, in mix to 300 M but showed no fight when it counted and gradually weakened out late.

12BROTHERS IN ARMS  D Whyte

Bounced out, allowed to drift back into midfield when unable to cross, raced 3 wide 6Ls back with cover, had a fair run to bend, lacked usual finish in straight and struggled final 200 M.

13WINBO  Y T Cheng

Began in line, posted 4 wide without cover in mid-section, set impossible task and used too much petrol to bend, weakened.

14OASIS DAVIS  M W Leung  (SR)

Slowly away, taken back to rear, raced 8Ls off leaders, bumped turning, found little in run to line.
