Improved steadily from the widest draw of 8 to track the leader onto the first bend, came to tackle leader rounding home bend gaining narrow advantage upon straightening, drew clear inside final 200 metres.

2FIVE G PATCH  B Avdulla  (TT)

Settled at the back of the small field and waited with, saved ground on rail turning in for home, quickened well under pressure in straight without threatening.

3LA CITY BLANCHE  M Chadwick  (TT)

Settled some 3 to 4L off the pace in 3rd, commenced move halfway out to come within 2L of the lead, given reminders in quickened tempo rounding home bend, failed to make any serious impression in the run to the line.

4MOMENTS IN TIME  L Hewitson  (TT)

Soon took up running setting a smart pace, steadied up the tempo in back straight but quickened up when challenged by eventual winner home bend, narrowly headed into straight before fading under pressure inside final 200 metres.

5SENOR TOBA  A Atzeni  (B-/TT)

Broke well before taken well back, made some headway over 1000 metres out coming under pressure rounding home bend, kept on steadily without quickening from 4L 5th into straight.

6MASSIVE SOVEREIGN  Z Purton

Held up in 6th some 8L off the pace, lost position to 7th despite closer to pace 1000 metres out, commenced move approaching home turn 500 metres out and widest into straight, never nearer.

7RUSSIAN EMPEROR  H Bowman  (SR)

Broke well from the one draw before taken back to settled in 5th some 7L back early in back straight, became 6th despite closer to pace rounding home bend, found nothing under pressure in the run to the line.

8STRAIGHT ARRON  C Y Ho

Settled over 5L back in 4th early stages, gained closer halfway out to within 2L of pace approaching home bend, weakened out of contention upon straightening.
