From wide draw taken back to last 10Ls off the lead, had the task ahead top of straight, closed off powerfully from rear to snatch victory near line.

2TURIN MASCOT  K Teetan  (PC/TT)

On jumping was badly crowded and unbalanced, raced ahead of midfield on settling, responded well early straight, struck the lead inside 100M only to be caught by the fast finishing winner near line.
3ADEFILL  H Bowman  (B)

Jumped on terms, fell back to a position behind midfield, ran on strongly passing 400M and was just denied in a 3-way photo finish.
4BERLIN TANGO  M Chadwick  (B/H/TT)

Restrained to race near last 9Ls off the pace, crept closer home turn, briefly held up 250M before doing best work late to claim 4th.
5APACHE PASS  Z Purton  (B-/XB/BO2)

Obtained a 2-wide spot ahead of midfield, had every chance turning home, briefly went 2nd mid-straight but run ended 100M from home.
6YELLOWFIN  L Hewitson  (XB)

Driven forward, crossed to the lead passing 1300M, kept going well early straight, caught by pursuing rivals final 100M and lost several places close home.
7SO WE JOY  K C Leung  (H/TT)

Settled behind mid-division 6Ls from leader, ran on mildly final 300M but rivals finished better. (had some difficulty obtaining clear running concluding stages.)

Tracked leader, bustled along 500M, soon outsprinted by rivals on straightening. (Roarer.)

Maintained a midfield position throughout the race, couldn't accelerate when asked passing 400M. Never threatened. (Jockey concern with his mount's action.)
10NORDIC DRAGON  E C W Wong  (TT)

From wide draw taken across to a rearward position, 9Ls off the pace on settling with little change to the turn, attempted an inside run, held up 200M before shifting out for clear running final stages. Could do better.
11MASSIVE ACTION  Y L Chung  (SR/V)

Led early before obtaining a trailing position behind the leaders, hard driven passing 500M, couldn't go on passing 300M, weakened towards the line.
12ALACRITY  A Hamelin  (XB/TT)

Restrained after the start, soon towards the rear 9Ls off the pace, brought wide for home but failed to pick up when asked for effort.
13MAJESTIC COLOUR  L Ferraris  (B/TT2)

From draw one away well enough, chased leaders in 4th, under the pump 500M, soon gave ground and out of contention.
