Got back to second last from widest gate before improving position in middle stage when galloping three wide. Was the second widest on straightening before dashing to the lead near the 75m mark, held off late challenger.

2HARMONY N HOME  Y L Chung

Drifted back to race at the tail. Shifted wider passing the 450m, was last and the widest runner on straightening before closing strongly down the outside to charge to a fast finishing second, just beaten on line.

3DOUBLE SHOW  K Teetan  (B/TT)

Raced in midfield along the rail. Came off the rail passing the 500m, closed off well all the way to the line to move to third in the final 50m & was only beaten half a length on line.

4NOIR RIDER  M L Yeung  (XB/B2)

Raced in midfield away from the rail for the majority. Eased three wide passing the 500m, dashed well & hung inwards but took the lead momentarily near 150m before being over-run in concluding stages.

5H Z TOURBILLON  C L Chau  (TT)

Drifted back to race just worse than midfield between runners. Was third last approaching corner, held up near momentarily 200m when galloping between runners, came to the outside & made up a length late (blood in trachea).

6COLONEL  Z Purton  (V)

Pushed forward as normal, raced outside the leader early before being crossed near the 700m & racing a length from lead. Took lead momentarily near 200m, over-run in final 100m.

7WIND SPEEDER  M Chadwick  (B)

Raced in midfield away from the rail throughout. Was only just behind leaders passing 200m, finished off only moderately in last 100m.

8GET THE MONIES  L Ferraris  (B/TT)

Raced on the leaders back early before a pair further back from the 750m. Was held up on straightening when continuing along rail, got clear near 175m, finished off fairly late.

9TIMESTORM  E C W Wong  (B)

Bumped heavily soon after the start before being hard ridden to improve, was three wide outside leaders before improving to lead near 850m and then crossing to rail passing 700m. Was headed early in straight & weakened out.

10BAYVIEW STAR  K De Melo  (B-/TT1)

Bumped heavily soon after the start & lost ground before shifting behind runners to the rail & racing rearward. Was last on straightening, shifted outwards passing 250m, did little in last furlong.

11ISLAND SURPRISE  K C Leung  (V/TT)

Took the lead early before being headed near the 850m & then racing on the leaders back from about the 700m. Stayed near the inside on straightening but did little & was well beaten.

12MODEST GENTLEMAN  A Atzeni  (B/TT)

Raced just forward of midfield when three wide before improving to be three wide outside the leaders from the 500m. Peaked on run early in the straight before weakening out to last after a wide trip throughout.
