Settled towards the rear from a wide gate travelling 3-wide with cover, pulled keenly rounding home bend and did not find much room early in straight, quickened well once into the clear inside 200 metres to snatch victory final strides.

Settled in joint 4th 2-wide just over 2L off the pace, in similar position turning for home, ran on under pressure to hit the front narrowly over 150 metres out only to be caught close to home.

3LUCKY RUBY  M F Poon  (B/TT)

Began well from a wide gate to be up with the pace but gradually shifted back to wide without cover in midfield, in similar position rounding home bend, fought on steadily under pressure to be nearest at finish.

4VAMOS  K C Leung  (H)

Taken well behind from the widest gate, trailed the field to 550 metres, shifting wide for a run into straight and ran on well under pressure down the centre of the track.

5SINGAPORE SPIRIT  L Ferraris  (B/TT)

Ridden along from wide gate in first few early stages, gradually shifted back to wide with cover in midfield, drifted slightly further back home bend, fought on steadily under pressure from towards rear into straight.

6FLYING BONUS  Y L Chung  (P)

Ridden along to vie for early lead, obtained rails run in front 900 metres out, kicked over 1L clear after straightening only to be swamped closing stages.

7LORIZ  C Y Ho

Broke well from a wide gate but failed to muster, drifted back to last few remaining wide without cover throughout, widest runner turning for home, ran on past beaten horses down the centre of the track.

8HANDSOME REBEL  C Wong  (B/TT)

Began well to be up with the pace, taken one back for cover coming onto home bend, kept on for place chance until weakened inside final 200 metres.

9CALL ME TEDDY  K Teetan  (PC1/TT)

Settled just off the pace, two back in joint 4th coming out of back straight drifting further back around home bend, saved ground turning in but tightened over 200 metres out, one paced thereafter.

10WOOD ON FIRE  H T Mo  (H/V/TT)

Broke well before taking back to rear of midfield on rail, saved ground turning for home, made no impression under pressure in the run to the line.

11THUNDERSTRIKE  H Bowman  (B/H)

Never better than midfield, came under pressure after straightening, folded up quickly inside final 100 metres. (Bled)

12HAPPY FAT CAT  H N Wong  (PC)

Prominent, improved to gain 2nd passing the 900 metres, disputed lead into straight, folded up quickly inside final 250 metres.
