Settled towards the rear and waited with, travelled strongly in similar position in back straight, snuck up on rails rounding final turn, quickened inside 300 metres to assert authority shortly after.

Settled in midfield on the rail after beginning from the one draw, commenced move entering home straight, angled out for a run 300 metres out, fought on steadily without threatening.

Improved steadily round first bend from a middle draw, settled one-out-one-back in 3rd in back straight, hit the front under pressure briefly 200 metres out, unable to sustain effort closing stages.

Broke well but soon taken back, tightened at 1100 metres before niggling along in worse than midfield, switched wide into home straight, fought on steadily under pressure without threatening.
