With leaders early before drifting back to last of the compact field over 500 metres out, commenced move passing the 300 metres and hit the front under pressure 100 metres out.

2CORDYCEPS SIX  A Badel  (B)

Travelled in rear of the compact field down the centre of the straight course, gained closer to within 1L of pace inside the 600 metres, hit the front over 150 metres out and continued to hang out, caught 100 metres out.

3SKY FIELD  L Currie  (H-/TT)

Broke well to share the pace, niggled at coming onto course proper become given reminders from 300 metres out, failed to quicken to threaten.

4LUCKY PATCH  L Ferraris  (H/V)

Moderate start, gained closer from over 2L back to 5th behind the leaders coming onto the course proper, fought on steadily down the centre of the track but without threatening.

5MASTER EIGHT  M Chadwick

Broke well to share early pace along stands rails, drifted some 2L back before coming under pressure onto course proper, kept on same pace without threatening.

6STRONGER  C Y Ho  (SR/XB)

Dipped at start losing ground, soon recovered to within 2L off the pace, came under pressure over 300 metres out and found nothing.

7HARMONY AND RICH  L Hewitson

Began awkwardly, well there early stages, hit the front narrowly coming onto course proper, unable to sustain effort and headed inside final 200 metres
