Raced in midfield before drifting further back in middle stages. Shifted wider entering the final section when around 6L behind, sprinted very quickly passing the 250m, struck the lead at 100m before going on to win easily.
2RAGING BLAZE  A Badel  (TT)

Not much early speed & raced worse than midfield along the rail early before improving to midfield passing 650m. Stayed along the rail on straightening before closing off well between runners to move to second near 75m.

3CARRY THE DIAMOND  L Ferraris  (PC)

Pushed forward to race outside the leader. Moved up to share lead near the 125m mark before being passed quickly by fast finishing winner. Battled on for well beaten third.

4DIAMOND SOARS  M F Poon  (H1/TT1)

Was trapped racing three wide without cover in midfield throughout. Was three lengths from the lead on straightening, passed quickly by the winner at the 175m before finishing steadily to well beaten 4th.
5DAY DAY RICH  L Hewitson  (B/TT)

Began only fairly before being badly crowded & checked & consequently raced near the tail. Shifted outwards on straightening when continuing at the back before passing a few when running onto midfield.
6GOODMANSHIP  K Teetan  (B/TT)

Hung in at start & bumped before racing in midfield away from the rail. Made no headway in the straight & was well beaten in midfield.
7THIS IS GUTS  C L Chau  (H/TT)

Steadied at start & taken back to race last of the main field. Stayed close to the inside on straightening when continuing at the rear before finishing off only steadily & passing only tiring runners when finishing midfield.
8SUPER CLASS  S De Sousa  (XB/B2)

Showed speed after the start to lead. Headed passing the 150m mark before weakening quickly in final stages to be well beaten.

Obtained a good position 1,1 throughout. Was only 2.5L from the lead on straightening before emptying early in the straight & weakening out.

10SHANGHAI POWER  K C Leung  (B)

Had a soft run on the leaders back throughout. Came under hard riding entering last section when just over 2L from the lead before weakening badly in final 250m.

11HANDSOME VEGGIE  L Currie  (H1)

Bumped very heavily, crowded badly & checked after the start before tailing out after the start. Was a long way behind the remainder of the field throughout & was never involved. Reluctant to stride out – rider.
12SIMPLE DOCTRINE  H T Mo  (B/XB)

Outpaced after start & drifted back to be third last of the main field when racing wide. Forced wider by the winner approaching the corner before doing nothing in the straight & weakening to long last.
