Raced on leaders back. Got clear running on straightening, dashed quickly to lead at 75m mark & ran away in late stage to win easily.
2GANG OF BROTHERS  L Hewitson

Had a nice run 1,1 throughout. Wider on straightening before closing off strongly to steal second place narrowly in final few strides.
3HERO STAR  K C Leung  (TT)

Obtained lead easily after start. Held lead until passed quickly by winner inside the final 100m before being caught for second in final stride.

4TAKINGUFURTHER  M L Yeung  (V)

Had a soft run in midfield on rail. Moved into clear running before closing off well to be 4th but only a neck behind second on line.

5HARMONY N HOME  C Y Ho

Raced just worse than midfield between runners. Made up a length or two in the straight when passing a few tiring rivals in late stages to finish midfield.
6SURE JOYFUL  R Maia

Was trapped racing three deep without cover in midfield throughout. Couldn't challenge in final stages after a wide passage & was no threat in midfield.
7SOARING TOWER  K Teetan  (CP-/P1)

Not fast away, raced third last along the rail. Stayed close to the inside in the straight, made up a length or two when running on from the back but was never a likely winner.
8CORDYCEPS ONE  M Chadwick  (B-/H)

Steadied & taken back at first bend but was caught racing tree wide with cover worse than midfield. Moved 4 wide nearing 400m, wide on straightening before running on steadily down the outside to midfield.

9MELBOURNE HALL  M F Poon  (H/XB)

Restrained after start & taken back to a clear last after start. Was a clear last on cornering before making up a length to be beaten about 5L after being a long way behind the whole race.
10DASSIT  J Moreira

Slow to begin losing 1L & consequently raced second last away from rail. Shifted to be the widest runner on straightening but made no headway & was third last beaten just under 6L.
11NOBLE DESIRE  B Shinn  (CP/SR)

Pushed forward to race outside the leader. Dropped off the leader just prior to straightening when awkward before weakening out badly in the straight. Steadied out of race by rider in last furlong but looked beaten anyway.
12HEI WONGCHOY  V Borges

Raced three deep with cover in midfield throughout. Was green on straightening but weakened out badly in final 300m to be a long last. Not a promising debut.
