Settled well behind, last and widest runner into straight, switched in for a run passing the 250 metres, ran on strongly to prevail by a narrow margin. (Tactic in home straight questioned)

Soon dropped well behind, pulled forward in the slow pace on home bend, checked off heels at about the 800 metres dropping to last few, baulked for a run in straight until quickening well between runners inside final 100 metres.
3PINS PRINCE  V Borges  (H/P/TT)

Broke well from the widest gate, gradually taken back to rear of midfield but remained wide without cover throughout, gained slightly closer to 2L 5th into straight, ran on to be nearest at finish.
4JUMBO FORTUNE  C L Chau  (H/TT)

Began well from a wide gate, gradually taken back to midfield closer to rails coming onto home bend, travelled keenly in the slow pace, fought on well inside final 300 metres to hold every chance and narrowly miss a placing.

Ridden forward to join the leaders, disputed lead most of the way until swamped for a placing final strides.

Broke well from the one draw to hold slender lead and set a slow pace, fought on under pressure in straight but swamped for a placing final strides.

Settled just better than midfield in 5th within 3L of the slow pace, saved ground on the rail rounding home bend but could find no clear run the length of the straight, not tested.

8EXCELLENT DADDY  K C Leung  (TT)

Soon dropped towards rear, travelled wide and keenly in the slow pace rounding home bend, fought on steadily under pressure down the centre of the straight.

9DOUBLE SIX POP  K Teetan

Moderate start from a wide gate and soon dropped well behind, pulled forward in the slow pace 4-wide without cover rounding home bend, one of the widest turning in , unable to sustain effort closing stages.
10TURQUOISE HOPE  M L Yeung  (B)

Began awkwardly, travelled keenly one back in 3rd on the rail, in similar box-seat position into home straight, baulked for a run most of the way to the line, not tested.

11LOCKHEED  R Maia  (B/TT)

Settled one-out-one-back, held every chance early in straight but unable to sustain effort inside final 150 metres.
