Settled wide in last few, gained closer from 850 metres to reach midfield, circled the field from the 550 metres, sustained effort to hit the front 200 metres out.

Soon taken across from the widest gate for rails run in rear, commenced move 3-wide rounding home bend, baulked early in straight, fought on under pressure to be nearest at finish.

3SUPER HONG KONG  R Maia  (B/TT)

Moderate start from the one draw settling towards the rear, saved ground turning in, baulked for a run on straightening and forced to switch inside the 100 metres, did best work late.

4SWOT TROOPERS WIND  M F Poon  (B)

Settled wide in midfield, improved closer passing the 850 metres, came under pressure and went wide into straight, fought on steadily to be nearest at finish.

5GLORIOUS LOVER  Z Purton  (B)

Settled in midfield mainly in 6th, saved ground turning for home, baulked for a run early in straight, produced good late impression closing stages.

6KING DRAGON  A Badel  (V/XB)

Settled towards the rear, commenced move under pressure rounding home bend and went very wide into straight, kept on steadily without threatening.

Ridden forward from a wide gate, circled the field to lead on the rail inside the 1200 metres, led until headed over 200 metres out, no extra.

Began well to lead early, soon taken back to just off the pace and tracked race leader to straight, hung in upon straightening and unable to sustain effort inside the final 150 metres.

9AMBITIOUS HEART  A Hamelin  (B2/TT)

Began well, settled mainly in midfield on the rail, gradually shuffled back to last few when pace quickened around home bend, saved ground turning in, but soon weakened under pressure.

10STAY CHILL  C Y Ho  (CP)

Made steady headway from a wide gate circling the field before settling 3-wide without cover over 2L back in 4th, improved to 2nd over 800 metres out, similar into straight but unable to sustain effort and steadily faded.

11JUNGLE BLAZE  V Borges  (TT)

Gradually picked up to prominent position, gained slightly closer in back straight, soon weakened in home straight.

Soon taken back well behind, travelled keenly most of the way to the halfway mark, remained wide throughout and the widest turning for home, never recovered.
