Raced close to the speed before getting great position 1,1 from the 900m. Obtained clear running on straightening before making continual headway to strike lead passing the 200m & continuing on well to hold neck advantage on line.

2PRIME MINISTER  K C Leung  (TT1)

Raced in midfield on the rail throughout. Entered last section under 3L from the lead before being held up for clear running until shifting outwards at the 225m & closing strongly to get within a neck on the line.

3FLAGSHIP GLORY  J Moreira

Steadied from wide gate & shifted rearward early before improving position when 3 wide without cover in middle stages. Continued to improve around field, cornered only 1L behind before finishing well to hold close up third.

4SACRED IBIS  K Teetan  (XB)

Slowest to begin before mustering along the inside to settle just worse than midfield. Held up for clear running on straightening before dashing strongly between runners in final furlong for rapidly closing fourth.

5DIAMOND BRILLIANT  M Chadwick  (TT)

Began very fast to lead from gate 12 before crossing to rail after 100m. Headed in lead near the 1200m & race don leaders back thereafter. Battled on well in the straight to be under 2L behind.

6BELUGA  Z Purton  (H)

Shifted behind runners from outside gate to settle second last. Continued rearward before improving position when racing wide in middle stages. Cornered the widest but only 3L behind before finishing well to be close behind.

7JUNEAU PARK  A Badel

Raced in midfield away from the rail throughout. Shifted 3 wide when the field bunched near the 600m before straightening only 2L from lead. Battled on well to midfield & was only beaten 2L in a somewhat bunched finish.

8CRAIG'S STAR  C Soumillon  (B)

Mustered speed after the start & improved to take the lead near the 1200m mark. Continued in lead until being headed by the winner passing the furlong pole before weakening slightly late.

9E STAR  N Callan  (H2)

Raced in midfield on the rail throughout. Moved away from the rail near the 600m when the field bunched before entering last section just over 3L behind. Maintained relative margin in the dash to the line but threatened.

10STAR PERFORMANCE  T Piccone  (TT)

Crowded at the start & consequently raced at the rear throughout. Moved very wide passing the 600m when field bunched, shifted to be the widest runner entering final section before making up a length without threatening.

11HARMONY WIN WIN  C L Chau  (XB1)

Mustered speed after the start before improving position when racing wide to get outside the leader by the 900m. Continued second until the 300m mark before tiring out in final furlong to be beaten just under 4L.

12PERFECT PAIR  H N Wong  (SR)

Shifted behind runners after 100m to get good position in midfield away from rail. Shuffled further back in middle stages before being awkwardly placed on cornering. Made no headway in the straight & never threatened.

13FANTASTIC SHOW  H W Lai  (B)

Had no early speed & drifted back to race at the tail throughout. Hard ridden on straightening when 5L behind before making no improvement in dash to line.

14GREEN REIGN  C Schofield

Crowded at start & raced worse than midfield early. Shifted three wide with cover near 850m before moving closer to lead when field bunched at 600m. Cornered wide, 2.5L behind before emptying 350m & weakening to last (Mucus).
