1SPEED FAY FAY  C Schofield  (B)

Raced prominently after start before getting good position 1,1 near the 900m. Moved up to join lead at the 250m & dug deep in closing stages to hold neck advantage over challenger on the line.

2PEARL CHAMPION  A Hamelin  (B)

Raced in midfield away from the rail throughout, 5L behind passing the 800m. Eased wider passing the 500m, entered last section over 3L behind before making good late ground in last furlong to get within a neck on the line.

3GREEN ENVY  J Moreira  (V/TT)

Caught wide early before drifting back & ultimately settling forth last. Shifted to be the widest runner on cornering when over 5L behind before closing strongly down the outside to get with half-length on line. Big run.

4THUNDER STOMP  H T Mo  (B)

Began fast & continued to improve from wide gate before racing outside the leader from the 1100m. Moved up to assume narrow lead entering last section, joined by the winner at the 250m but fought bravely to be close behind.

5COUNTRY BOY  K Teetan  (H/P/TT)

Held lead momentarily after the start before being headed & racing on leaders back from the 1000m. Continued behind leading pair on straightening before finishing off well along the inside rail to be under 2L behind on line.

6JOYFUL HEART  C Soumillon  (CP/TT)

7GOLDEN FOUR  C L Chau  (B2)

Steadied from wide gate & shifted back to the tail. Continued near the tail on cornering, over 6.5L behind before closing off well in late stages to not be beaten far from rearward position.

8LIGHT OF WANSHI  V Borges  (TT)

Bumped heavily after start before steadying & shifting behind runners to race third last. Continued rearward on corner, 6L behind, began to make steady ground before being tightened & steadied near 125m. Should have been closer.

9SUPERB DADDY  N Callan  (B-)

Drifted back after the start & raced in midfield between runners for the majority. Ridden along passing the 600m, shifted out & bumped on straightening, moved closer to lead at 200m before weakening in late stages. No threat.
