Driven from the widest gate to soon take up running, set steady pace after obtaining rails run passing the 1100 metres, went over 1L clear under pressure early in straight, just defied late challenges close to home.

2NOBLE STEED  N Callan  (B)

Moderate start, showed natural speed to obtain prominent position on the rail, steadied and lost position when pace slackened early in back straight, switched off rails for a run upon straightening, ran on quite well to just fail.

Ridden forward from a poor draw to travel wide in 2L 3rd, closer when pace slackened early in back straight, obtained cover one-out-one-back over 650 metres out, came under pressure wide into straight, ran on to be nearest at finish.

Blundered at start, soon taken across in rear for rails run, shifted 3-wide when 8th in the slow pace passing the 900 metres, swung the widest turning for home, finished off the race well down the centre of the track.

Broke well from the middle gate, settled just behind race leader travelling keenly when pace slackened early in back straight, regained momentum for 3rd rounding home bend, fought on steadily under pressure in straight.

Settled in midfield on the rail, gradually drifted backward to last by 800 metres, commenced move and saved ground making home turn, switched out for a run over 200 metres out, nearest at finish

Began from a low draw, wide in midfield when shifted back for cover on first turn, headway to reach 4th briefly 800 metres out, drifted back to midfield on home bend and wide into straight, make late impression closing stages.

Travelled wide without cover in last few from a wide gate, came forward from the 1000 metres to join race leader 800 metres out, came under pressure to hold place rounding home bend, faded steadily after straightening.
