Began well, shared pace to 1100m before easing into box seat, 2L behind leader. Allowed to coast along to 250m when got run inside leader, then involved in neck-a-neck duel before scraping ahead to narrow win.
2WHO ELSE BUT YOU  J Moreira  (H)

Pressed forward from an outside draw to lead on settling, then set good pace to straight. Joined up front 250m and battled on strongly to line to just fail.
3VERBINSKY  D Whyte  (CP/TT)

Jumped well, stayed with pace until crossed 900m and started to over-race. Left without cover from 700m, swung wide entering straight, finished off strongly to fail narrowly.
4TRENDY WIN  H W Lai  (V)

Jumped OK but not pressed, dropping to midfield along rail 4L from leader. Shaken up passing 400m, took rail run in straight and ran on steadily for distant fourth.
5ENREACHING  K Teetan

Away nicely, ridden forward, settling in one-off position 3L from leader, Made short-lived effort on straightening turning one-paced final 200m.
6BOLSHOI BALLET  C Y Ho  (H/TT)

Steadied on jumping to find cover but crowded out and lost ground, dropping to rear. Made forward move 700m but lay out 500m. Taken to centre track on straightening and ran on fairly.
7FIVE UP HIGH  K K Chiong  (TT)

Began fairly, tightened, dropping toward rear along rail. Took inside run on straightening but only one-paced under hard riding.

Quickly into stride, sharing pace until settling three-quarters of a length behind leader passing 900m. Shaken up passing 300m but soon under pressure and faded.

Good start, pressed forward in one-off position 3L from leader. Lost position turning for home and gave ground gradually in straight.

Jumped with field but no early speed, dropping towards rear but away from fence. Stayed at rear throughout and found nothing when asked in straight. Rider dropped whip 200m.
11STARTLING POWER  O Bosson

Began fairly, taken to fence, settling behind midfield. Started to over-race passing 600m, kept on fairly to 200m before tiring.
12CHOICE TREASURE  S Clipperton  (B2)

No early pace and last on settling. Trailed field to straight, made short-lived effort 300m but tired quickly and faded.
