Jumped moderately but soon gained narrow advantage on rails, ceded lead passing the 1200 metres to sit one back, renewed effort to gain upper hand over 100 metres out.

Pressed on from a wide gate, gradually worked his way up to lead on rails passing the 1200 metres, fought on under pressure only to be outlasted close to home.
