Quickly into stride from wide draw, then eased 1250m to find cover three-back, one-off. Four-wide into straight, pressed forward strongly to win on line.
2TRAVEL FIRST  C Schofield  (B/TT)

Pressed forward, racing 3-wide 1L behind leader. Rolled forward top of straight, hit front 300m, battled when challenged but pipped on post.
3GREAT SPIRIT  H N Wong

Jumped well, travelled keenly when one-off, two-back. Found clear run entering straight, rolled forward to join leaders 200m, battled to line.
4HARRIER JET  K C Leung  (B)

Ridden to hold forward position between horses 2L from leader. Closed in entering straight, kept on strongly under hard riding only to fail narrowly.
5SO FAST  S de Sousa  (H/P)

Pressed forward from outside draw, taking over lead 1250m but kept one-off by inside runner. Joined up front 200m, battled but swamped final strides.
6UNIVERSAL UNION  B Prebble  (V/TT)

Not pushed, settling behind midfield in one-off position. Not asked for effort till straightening, finishing well down centre track.

Began well, allowed to stride forward holding rail 2-back from leader. Came off fence 600m to challenge but only one-paced in straight.

Steadied soon after start and shifted across behind runners, settling last. Switched out 450m and ran on steadily to be closest at finish.

First out, led to 1250m then took sit. Got shuffled back turning for home, gave ground quickly in straight. Lost right fore plate on jumping.
