Eased forward early to sit forward of midfield, 1-2 off the fence, but never fully settled in the back straight. Had to make up 3L on the leader in the straight, and gradually wore him down. Strong over the last 100m.
2JOLLY JOLLY  K Teetan  (B)

Pushed forward early to stake a claim, and was sole leader by the 1000m. Looked to have outlasted challengers in the straight, and was running strongly in front at 100m. Peaked in the last 50m, and picked off for the win late.
3SUPER TALENT  S de Sousa  (B)

Only fairly away and settled worse than midfield, 1 off the fence. Raced tight and off hindquarters at 350m. Pulled out from there and ran home strongly. Battled for a place late, and just got 3rd in a bob on the line.
4MARVEL HERO  C Brown  (B-)

Slightly awkward away and dropped back early to be 3rd last, 9L off the leader. One of the last on the turn, and came wider in the straight. Ran home strongly, and went head to head in run for 3rd, and lost the bob on the line.
5WAH MAY FRIEND  C Schofield  (TT)

Began awkwardly, but pushed forward early to be handily place 3rd/4th, 1 off the fence. Well placed to kick from the 200m, but found nothing in the tank. Peaked late and was swamped on the line.
6MIGHTY MAVERICK  M Rodd  (XB1)

Steadied early from the wide draw to settle in midfield, 1 off the fence. Plugged away steadily in the straight, but never threatened a place.
7ABLE DEED  D Whyte  (B)

OK to begin and taken up to be forward of midfield, on the fence. Ran on steadily in the straight without threatening a place, and raced tight briefly on the line.
8HARD BALL GET  J Moreira  (CP)

Bumped on jumping and then steadied to get cover, worse than midfield, on the fence. Pushed in the straight, but only went to the line fairly.
9LUCKY GUY  G Mosse  (SR/B1)

Cruised across from the jump, and was stuck 3 wide with no cover up the back straight, just behind the leader. Came into 1 off the fence leaving the back straight. Stoked up on the turn, but didn't ignite and went home 1 paced.
10UNBEATABLE GUTS  M L Yeung  (V)

Slow away, and dropped back early to be 2nd last, 10L off the leaders. Only battled on fairly when asked the question at the top of the straight, and not pushed to the line late.
11MASSIVE MILLENNIUM  N Rawiller  (TT)

Pushed forward from the wide draw to take the early lead, before being crossed at 1000m and dropping back to 3rd. Let down from the top of the straight, but never responded and dropped out quickly from the 300m.
12SMART SALUTE  B Prebble

Began OK, and eased forward from the inside draw to be midfield, on the rail. Never responded when asked the question and ran to the line flat, before easing from the 150m.
13LAUGH OUT LOUD  C Y Ho  (B)

Dropped back from the wide draw to be 12L last at the 800m. Never improved in the run and last all the way until last 50m, only beat one who was easing out late.
14GO GO WIN  H W Lai  (CP)

Began well and taken forward early to be handily place 4th/5th. Under pressure before the turn. Showed nothing in the straight and eased out late.
