Comments

1RED DANCER  J Moreira  (P/TT)

Crowded on jumping before settling worse than midfield, on the fence. Came wide on the turn, and asked the question from the 300m. Ran on strongly and had the race won at the 50m, before easing across the line.

2WIN IT  H N Wong  (CP)

Pushed forward from the widest gate to sit just behind leader. Lead from the turn, but never kicked clear. Overtaken for the lead by the fast finishing winner late, but plugged away and held on for 2nd.

3RAZOR QUEST  O Doleuze  (H/TT)

OK away, before eventually settling midfield, 1 off the fence. Pushed from the turn. Battled on in the straight and was weakening late, but just held 3rd.

4BEAUTY LEAD  D Whyte  (TT)

Began well and taken up to sit forward of midfield, on the fence. Awkwardly placed on turn, and didn't have a clear run until the 300m. Battled on OK from the 250m, just missing 3rd late.

5TOP ACE  A Suborics  (SR)

Began OK, before dropping back toward the rear of the field, 12L off the leader at the 800m. Was 2nd last at the 300m, but ran on impressively late to take 5th.

6GOOD GOOD VIEW  T H So  (B)

Began OK, but dropped back early to sit a conspicuous last 15 lengths off the leader. Ridden along before the turn, and came widest in the straight. Came on OK late, and passed a few stragglers late.

7ROCKET FLY  M L Yeung  (H/P/XB/TT)

Only fairly away, then pushed forward to sit midfield on the rail. Lost momentum when steadied out of a run at 150m, and only finished off fairly after that.

8BEST SHOW  C Y Ho  (CP1)

Began OK, but didn't muster early and dropped back to sit towards the rear of the field. Asked the question from the top of straight but only ran on fairly, and did his best work in the last 100.

9ALBICELESTE  G Mosse  (H)

Began OK and eased forward, sitting just worse than midfield and over racing slightly. Came 2nd widest on turn, but didn't run on in the straight and faded late.

10BUSINESS AS USUAL  C K Tong  (H)

Began well, and taken forward to sit in a handy position, 3L off the leader on the fence. 1 paced in the straight, and never saw out the trip.

11FOODIE  H W Lai  (B/TT)

OK to begin, and taken forward to sit better than midfield, 1 off the fence. Pushed forward for a run on the turn, but found wanting from 300m, and faded back from 200m.

12DUAL HAPPY  Z Purton  (B)

Began well, and elected to sit back worse than midfield 2-3 wide early. Never stretched out in the straight, and awkward on heels towards finish.

13PENGLAI XIANZI  K C Ng  (TT)

Broke quickest from the outside gate, and pushed forward to lead. Never kicked in straight, and faded out from 300m.

14OUR GENERATION  Y T Cheng  (XB)

Crowded on jumping. Pushed forward and sat 3 wide, no cover for the first 500m before settling handy, 1 off the fence. Tried to go from turn, but didn't respond and weakened quickly from the 200m.
