Began OK, ridden along behind pacemakers while edging toward but three-wide from outer fence. Picked up momentum gradually, surged forward 200m, hit front 100m on way to easy win.
2WINFULL PATROL  G Mosse  (B)

Quickly into stride, racing with pacemakers away from outer fence. Swooped to the front passing 700m, looked the winner 200m before swamped with 100m to go.
3HARBOUR ALERT  C Y Lui

Fractious before start. Best out and led to 700m before settling in second close to outer fence. Began forward move passing 400m, kept on gamely without being able to close the gap.
4CHATER ROCK  C Y Ho

Began quickly, pressed forward, settling third 2L from leader. Caught flat-footed 400m when leaders speeded up, picked up again and kept on gamely to the line.
5DYNAMIC VOYAGE  Y T Cheng  (B/TT)

Slow into stride then ridden along down centre track, racing mostly on its own behind midfield. Made progress from 400m, though never really dangerous.
6SKY MAN  J Moreira

Pressed forward to stay with pace, settling 3L from leader. Took closer order approaching 400m but one-paced after 200m.
7SPARKLING TALENT  N Rawiller

Ridden along early to stay with pacemakers but kept away from outer fence. Got to within range of leader passing 400m but could not persevere and weakened final stages.
8BEAUTY KINGDOM  N Callan  (TT)

Crowded out start, taken to outer fence and made up ground quickly to within 3L of leader. Was still in contention passing 400m before weakening.
9COUNTRY MELODY  K Teetan  (H)

Slow into stride, recovered and made ground along outer fence to get within 7L of leader. Put under pressure from 400m but little response.
10ST YAZIN  W M Lai  (TT)

No early speed, left alone in midtrack and soon last. Stayed on inner track throughout, making up some late ground.
11SMART DELIGHT  Z Purton  (TT1)

Bumped at start, taken towards outer fence, racing at the rear mostly. Never competitive. Found to have substantial blood in trachea.
12TRIUMPHANT JEWEL  M L Yeung  (B/TT)

Began fairly then crowded for room passing 950m and again 750m, dropping to rear about three-wide from outer fence. Never likely.
13TANGO FIRE  D Whyte  (B/H)

Began OK but failed to muster, dropping to near last along outer fence. Checked 600m and again 400m but never likely.
14FAY DEEP  H N Wong  (B/TT)

Unbalanced start, hard ridden to make up ground progressing to midfield 600m out. Weakened gradually.
