Allowed to stride forward at own pace, settling three back from leader in one-off position. Crossed to fence turning for home, closed in gradually, got clear run top of straight and ran on strongly to the line.
2SUPREME ESSENCE  M L Yeung  (H/TT)

Ridden along to hold forward position before easing one-back, one-off back stretch. Checked and lost ground passing 600m. Shifted out to make new challenge and finished strongly.
3SPEEDY LONGWAH  J Moreira  (B/TT)

Pressed forward from wide draw but unable to cut in and forced to race three-wide without cover. Rolled forward passing 500m, led into straight, caught half-way up the straight but boxed on gamely.
4CHATER LEGEND  D Whyte  (SR)

Made full use of inside draw to grab box seat on settling. Allowed to stride at own pace before shifted out 400m to make run. Closed in to 200m when looked a chance before turning one-paced.

Shifted across behind runners from wide gate but still held three-deep at the rear. Rolled forward around turn to look a chance entering straight. Kept on fairly till flattened 200m.

Ridden along between horses to stay with the pace, racing tightly 1300m and taken wide. Looked a chance when swung into straight but ran out of steam from 200m.

Slow into stride, taken to fence and made up some ground initially. Kept on fairly in straight without looking dangerous.

No early speed, settling at rear away from fence. Taken out approaching turn, very wide into straight but found nothing under pressure.

Began well, racing inside leading pack before being passed 1000m. Retook lead 800m, put under pressure 500m, headed 300m and gave ground gradually.

No early speed and last on settling. Switched out turn and made up good ground. Wide into straight and tired gradually.

Hard ridden early to share early pace before being eased back 3L from leader approaching 800m. Turned wide and found nothing in straight.

Hard ridden to stay with leader, taking over 1000m but easing off 800m. Kept on under pressure till passing 600m when gave ground abruptly and dropped back through field becoming tailed off. (Performance unacceptable)
