Began well, niggled to stay behind pacemaker, sweated on a run from 400m before bursting through split 200m and pulling clear.

Broke well, held outer rail behind leader, forged ahead 400m, outsprinted by winner final 200m.
3MARVEL TRIBE  N Callan

Began awkwardly and then steadied, settling worse than midfield. Improved steadily, close to heels 200m before getting split. Finished off nicely.
4GLORY BOY  K Teetan

Began OK but outpaced, settling 6L from leader. Still well back entering course proper but picked up momentum from 150m to just miss a place.
5PURE FORCE  A Delpech  (H/V)

Broke well and ridden along early to stay behind pacemakers. Under pressure from 500m but unable make ground and not ridden out last few strides.
6ORIENTAL PROSPER  H W Lai  (CP/TT)

Jumped with field, ridden positively to say inside leader, taking over from 500m. Caught 400m, kept on one-paced.
7WINFULL PATROL  O Doleuze

Allowed to roll forward at own pace down centre track, to share lead 500m out before giving ground gradually.

Bumped start, outpaced, settling at rear. Put under pressure from 500m, but hung out and proved difficult to settle. One-paced.
