Enjoyed a nice run in the race tracking the on speed runners along the fence, had cover. Shifted out into clear running early in the straight and let down nicely to have the race in its keeping prior to the final 50m.
2GREAT CHARM  O Doleuze  (SR1)

Vied for leading duties on the fence, no cover. Challenged for most of the trip, managed to kick clear after the 300m, only to be caught late.
3LITTLE MEN  D Whyte

Parked just ahead of midfield, 2 deep with cover. Finished off reasonably well, maintain a sound effort on debut.
4HEY CHEERS  T Angland  (SR/TT)

Camped worse than midfield, 2 deep with cover. Peeled out near the 300m to continue improving, battled away to stay in the frame.
5GENERAL DANROAD  H W Lai

Settled with the backmakers, 2-3 deep with cover. Commenced to improve around runners after the 500m. Ran on gamely down the outside in the home stretch.
6TOUCH WELL  A Suborics  (H/TT)

Rated midfield the fence had cover. Cornered 4 deep kept up an even gallop down the running.

Not the best to begin, managing to settle behind midfield 3 deep no cover. Held up early in the straight, worked to the line fairly. (see incident report).

Raced in the leading trio, 2 deep no cover. Stayed towards the inside turning for home but commenced to give ground over the final 150m.

Raced back in the field, along the paint with cover. Crowded for room near the furlong, kept on at the same speed thereafter.

Never likely after being posted 3 deep without cover on the speed. Faded in the run home.

Raced keenly in the early stages, travelling midfield, 3 wide with cover. Came wide in the straight, was a spent force after the furlong.
12FOLLOW THE MONEY  R Fourie  (B/TT1)

Slow to begin then was taken back to settle in last position close to the rails, had cover. Kept to the inside in the straight, passed a couple of tiring horses in the run home.
13QUIET CONFIDENCE  K C Leung  (B/TT)

Began on terms then drifted back from a wide alley and settled second last, 3 deep with cover. Failed to close off in the home straight.
14ALL TIMES LUCKY  Z Purton

Crowded on jumping but recovered to settle 3 deep, one pair back. Never responded to riders pressure in the straight and struggled a long way out.
