Out with them, angled into midfield 4Ls or so back, improved 3 wide approaching bend, let down and went to front easily, kept on under urging to score another convincing win.

Angled into midfield in running line 5Ls off speed, even trip to turn before striking some traffic rounding final bend, closed sharply when clear although winner had race well in his keeping.
3TIME AFTER TIME  D Beadman  (XB/TT)

Out in line, posted 3 wide from outside alley, had cover 5Ls back in midfield, made run at 400m and did well to go with eventual winner, couldn't sustain and lost 2nd final 100m.
4TAVERNER  K C Ng  (XB/B2)

No early speed, settled 5Ls or so away on rails, just off midfield, improved turning and came wider at 400m, made some gradual progress to make frame although well off 3rd.
5ABSOLUTE HEDGE  M L Yeung

Came across to take up ideal spot 1 out 1 back, enjoyed run of race, couldn't go with them at 400m and just battled away thereafter.

Ended up 3 wide behind midfield 6Ls away, had cover throughout, came wider turning, kept grinding away in straight.

Went forward and camped outside leader, had a fair run in middle stages, niggled turning in, just one speed in straight.
8KING AL AKBAR  O Doleuze  (SR-/H2)

Drifted back from a wide alley, raced 2 wide sharing rear 7Ls or so back, set a task coming wide from tail turning, made only minor ground.
9NEW DEERFIELD  B Doyle

Ended up racing behind midfield in two wide line, 6-7Ls off lead, well back throughout, never any closer.
10TOPPING LIGHT  B Prebble

Showed early toe, settled behind leader, had even run to turn, in traffic early in straight but responded only moderately when clear.
11IMPERIAL ROME  N Callan

Positioned well, 3-4Ls back on fence, quiet time in mid section, in behind runners turning but no extra when clear.
12ELITE OF CHIU TON  M Chadwick  (TT)

Slow into stride, settled near to rear, raced 7-8Ls away on rails, same margin down turning, no extra in straight.
13CHINA POWER  T Clark  (TT)

Showed good speed to take up running. Proved difficult to settle in run, headed turning and soon gave in, dropped right out.
14MIGHTY SUN  Y T Cheng  (B)

Pressed on from an outer draw, posted 3 wide without cover, did too much work to bend, faded and didn't fire on less than preferred surface.
