Comments

1PURE CHAMPION  D Whyte  (TT)

Out well, positioned ideally on leaders back, had ideal trip to bend, angled out and soon took care of rivals, held healthy margin in run to line.

2OUTDOOR PEGASUS  B Prebble  (TT)

Settled in midfield 2 wide 5Ls back, fair run in mid section, began to improve approaching bend, produced decent finish but no match for winner late.

3LIBERATOR  M Chadwick  (B/H/TT1)

Very slow into stride, rushed up around them to position outside leader, worked a bit to keep speed genuine, headed soon after turning but fought on well given workload to take placing.

4HOT SHOT  O Doleuze  (TT)

Out in line but didn't go early speed, raced 3 wide in midfield without cover, 4-5Ls back gradually improving on circle, came 4 wide turning, kept giving and worked nicely to line to make frame.

5VITALITY EXPRESS  M L Yeung  (B/TT)

Prominent early, settled 1 out 1 back, in scrimmage at 1100m and overaced, came 3 wide rounding bend, loomed strongly but unable to quicken from 200m, lost a place late.

6JAMESINA  T Angland  (B/TT)

No early pace, rear division on rails 8-9Ls back, pace helped in mid section, took inside runs and worked home well final 300m to be nearest on line (lacked a little room late)

7IRON EAGLE  Y T Cheng  (SW)

Went forward to take up running, did a bit of work with attention from outside horse, still there to 300m but soon collared and tired final furlong.

8KING OF SCOTS  C Y Ho

Settled just off pace 3Ls or so back, copped a bad check in scrimmage at 1100m, 3 wide thereafter, ridden along turning but just lacked usual close and struggled final 300m.

9MAJESTIC FALCON  J Lloyd  (XB/H)

Positioned 3 wide behind midfield, 6Ls or so back, checked at 1100m and forced 3 wide, had cover to bend, made a brief bid but peaked at 200m and struggled thereafter.

10VICTOR DELIGHT  B Doyle  (TT)

Just off pace group early 2 wide,1 checked at 1100m and forced down to rail, had even trip thereafter, didn't quicken in straight and struggled late.

11DIEGO  W M Lai

No early speed, in usual position at rear, 3 wide 10Ls back, checked at 1100m, plenty to do turning, didn't show usual finish and just battled.

12CARTHAGE  K C Leung  (SR/TT)

Settled just off midfield 2 wide 6Ls back, badly checked at 1100m, same margin back to bend, showed nothing in straight.

13FEARLESS  K C Ng  (B)

Faded back from a wide gate, raced 10Ls back, still last turning, made no impression in straight.

14ZAIDAN  D Beadman

Settled 3Ls or so back on rails. Severely checked at 1100m and forced further back, didn't appear to stretch out much thereafter and gradually faded out in straight. (See racing incidents.)
