Worked hard early to lead and found the fence at 1400m, left uncontested until the final turn, responded well when asked for efforts final 400m, kept on well enough to hold off the challenger.

Jumped fairly, prominently place at third within striking distance from leader, travelled nicely throughout, strode forward to contest the lead passing 600m, maintained a good gallop to the finish but was always held by the winner.
