Ridden to stay midfield early but ended up 2-wide towards rear making the home turn. 4Ls down on straightening. Picked up gradually in the straight and ran down rivals at finish.
2HIGH RETURN  W C Marwing  (SW)

Soon in the front rank but was trapped wide. Taken to sit 3-wide better than midfield passing 1000 M. 3Ls off on straightening. Made a strong run inside 300 M and looked a winner 100 M out but was overrun at finish.
3A WALK IN THE PARK  B Prebble  (B1)

2-wide behind the leader through to the home straight. Every chance inside 300 M but couldn't fend off the top pair close to home.
4HAPPY WIN  C K Tong

Raced 2-wide and within 3Ls behind the pace through to the home turn. Improved fairly well in the straight along with the front trio and made frame near the line.
5SOLAR UP  S K Sit

Eased to race 3-wide behind midfield after starting from high draw. Swung widest and was 4Ls down turning in. Kept making up ground in the straight and was nearest at finish.
6TURF WINNER  J Lloyd

First to hit ground. Took a sit behind the leader on fence 1000 M out. Attacked the lead from 300 M and battled with the principals until weakened inside 100 M.
7SUCCESSFUL ERA  M Chadwick

Shaken early and took lead one-off the fence approaching 1000 M. Still in front at 400 M but was unable to find extra gear when the race got serious.
8IMPLIED VOLATILITY  Y T Cheng  (B1)

Raced 2-wide at rear early. Urged along and was 6Ls behind the leader making the home turn. Made some headway in the straight.
9LIONS' FORTUNE  K C Leung  (H-/TT)

Raced on fence towards rear early and was 6Ls away on straightening. One-paced to conclude.
10SUPER GENTLEMAN  G Cheyne  (SR1)

Raced greenly at rear and hung out in the early and middle stages. Detached entering the home straight but did make up some ground closing stages. (See Racing Incidents.)
11FORTUNE KING  Z Purton

Taken back from high draw. Driven along the fence passing 100 M and raced behind midfield rounding the bend. Ran out of petrol after straightening.
12DESCARTES  O Doleuze

Better than midfield on fence through to final 350 M. No extra thereafter.
