Away in line. 4-wide towards rear at 800 M and was 9Ls behind the tearaway leader turning in. Quickened well inside final 350 M to claim victory at finish.
2BREAKING POINT  J Lloyd

Behind midfield early. Swung widest and was 8Ls behind the breakaway leader making the home turn. Fought on well in the straight. Just failed to contain the eventual winner at the post.
3MY GOAL  Y T Cheng

Began well. Sat 2-wide at midfield near 800 M. Rallied on with the quinella pair to chase the tearaway leader in the straight and hit front briefly at 50 M. Failed to hang on but left the rest of the field far behind.
4MATSUKAZE  C K Tong  (B)

Ridden early to take lead on fence. Attempted to run away and opened up a 5Ls gap leaving the bend. Caught by the front trio at 50 M and was all out to hold 4th.
5ICE FIRE  D Beadman  (H1)

Began awkwardly and shared rear on fence early. Took inside run rounding the bend and was 10Ls away on straightening. Improved substantially in the straight but of little consequence overall.
6SUPER FIGHTER  B Doyle  (V)

Well enough away. Settled 2-wide at midfield near 800 M. 8Ls down turning for home. Made limited progress down the centre of the track thereafter.
7FOREST STAR  M Chadwick  (TT)

Slow into stride and was driven to race wide behind the pace before the turn. In distant 3rd when the leader attempted to run away passing 600 M. Made progress briefly top of the straight and weakened inside 200 M.
8CONQUEROR  S K Sit  (V)

Jumped well. Raced 2-wide and was 6Ls off making the home turn. Hard ridden on straightening but failed to respond.
9WING MASTER  W Pike  (B-/TT)

Moderate jump, ended up 2-wide in rearward section at 800 M. Over 10Ls back on straightening. Made up minor ground in the straight.
10SPINNAKER  D Whyte  (TT1)

Away with them. Raced at midfield on fence at 800 M. Struggled thereafter and was a beaten horse soon after straightening.

Quickly into stride. Never far off the pace until the leader attempted to run away passing 600 M. Found nothing when asked in the straight.

Raced behind midfield on fence through to the home straight. No impression thereafter. (Bled.)

Eased towards rear after start. Under pressure from 800 M but couldn't quicken. Never in the hunt.

Better than midfield early. Soon dropped out on straightening.
