1FRIENDLY GAINS  M Chadwick

Always in touch, loomed up alongside the eventual 2nd 300 M out, kept on strongly to score under top weight.

2BUNDLE O' GOLD  B Prebble

Quickly into stride and prominently placed in a position towards the stands' rail, collared by the eventual winner near 300 M but kept battling to the line. Narrowly beaten.

3BOSS  W C Marwing  (H1)

Slightly slow out, gradually improved to be 2Ls behind leader passing 400 M, stuck on well to claim 3rd in what was a promising debut.

4SUPERIOR UNIT  K L Chui  (B/TT)

Settled in mid-division on the outside of field, picked up OK in the final 400 M although unable to match the principals.

5PLAN B  Z Purton  (TT)

Took cover in midfield 3Ls off the pace, ran on steadily inside 300 M but couldn't really threaten the first three.

6BOOMING CITY  M L Yeung  (B/TT)

Held a midfield position on the stands' rail 3Ls back, couldn't go with the leaders as tempo quickened inside 400 M, remained one-paced to the finish.

7BLAZE KING  K T Yeung

Went forward to set a decent pace down the middle of track, had every chance but not able to sustain run when the race got serious, headed near 300 M and gradually weakened in the run to the line.

8HEARTLINE  W M Lai  (B/TT)

Well enough away and was handily placed behind leaders, didn't find a change in pace when asked, weakened inside 200 M.

9SOLAR MIGHTY  M Du Plessis  (B/TT)

Began awkwardly and lost ground, rushed along to a position behind midfield 4Ls behind leader, found very little when placed under pressure, no extra passing 200 M.

10TAN TAT BABY  O Doleuze

Assumed a rearward position one off the stands' rail, shaken up passing 500 M but failed to respond, eased close home. (Mucus.)

11CHATER POWER  S K Sit  (B/TT)

Standard jump, raced in the rear against the stands' rail, 6Ls down inside 400 M but never picked up at any stage.

12HAPPY CAGA  H W Lai  (V1)

Settled in a prominent position just off the pace, unable to keep up from 400 M, folded rapidly passing 200 M. (Subsequently retired.)
