Comments

1DASH AHEAD  M W Leung  (SR)

No early pace, settled back with last few 8Ls away, aided by pace in mid-section, near last switching out on turning in, came with huge run down middle to sweep past them at 100 M and win running away.

2TRIUMPHANT DIAMOND  C W Wong  (SW)

Displayed more pace than usual to settle outside the leader, elected for a trail 2Ls back by mid-point with solid pace, up challenging and took lead on turning, fought strongly but no match for winner.

3FLORAL NIRVANA  B Prebble  (TT)

Restrained from a wide gate, posted 4-wide without cover in midfield, pressed on to race outside leader, held a narrow margin without crossing to 500 M, fought back strongly when headed to be in mix to 200 M, just held ground late.

4LHOJONG  Y T Cheng  (B/SR)

Ridden out to take a prominent spot behind leader, suited when pace slackened after early burn, right there on turning but without a run early in straight, closed off reasonably to make frame.

5MAVERICK  M Nunes  (TT)

Out in line, posted 3-wide without cover, did share of work 3-4Ls back, improved on bend, 4-wide on turning, threatened at 400 M but hard run took toll and just held position last 200 M.

6SEA TREASURE  G Boss  (B)

No early pace, settled midfield on rails 6Ls off pace, aided by useful tempo in middle stages, saved ground on bend, made steady progress along inside to be nearest on line.

7LONDON EXPRESS  Z Purton

Out in line, assumed a midfield spot 5Ls back, had a fair run in mid-section, progressed to be 2Ls down making a 4-wide run on turning, looked a threat at 400 M but peaked on run last furlong.

8INDUSTRIAL EXPRESS  D Whyte

Allowed to slide back and take a spot behind midfield 6Ls from top end, advantaged by reasonable speed on, tracked 3-wide with cover on bend, looked a strong chance at 400 M but unable to lift and plugged last bit.

9ROCKET WIN  P H Lo  (P/XB)

Began with rest, took a forward spot on back of pace, raced 2-3Ls back in 2-2ide line, not used througout, improved 3-wide on turn, right there sharing lead at 400 M but flattened at 250 M and dropped out late.

10NORTHERNER  G Mosse  (XB)

No pace as usal, raced 3-wide behind midfield 6Ls back, aided by tempo, improved 4-wide on circle, 4Ls back turning just plugged away in straight with hands and heels riding.

11PUERTO RICO  M Du Plessis  (XB)

No early pace, raced back with last few 7Ls back in 2-wide line, helped by tempo, still had job to do on turning, didn't dash in stretch and just closed at same speed.

12FANTASTIC GUY  C K Tong  (B)

Ordinary getaway, shared rear some 8Ls off pace, suited by pace, still well back on leaving bend, lacked usual turn of foot and only passed tired runners in finish.

13KINGSGATE GLORY  K T Yeung  (B/TT)

Reasonable jump, drove through to take ideal trailing position 3-4Ls back on fence, not asked in run, same margin down on turning, lacked usual finish last 400 M and just battled away in run to line.

14BAYVIEW GREYSLEW  W M Lai

Fast into stride, won pace battle and took up running, kept pace on with pressure from outside horse, struggling at 500 M, soon beaten and dropped right out in straight.
