Comments

1ARCHIPENKO  K Shea  (B/TT)

Began in line, trapped a little wide early but slotted in nicely 1 out 1 back 3 to 4Ls back, appreciated the genuine speed, pushed along on bend, picked up nicely under riding at 300 M to draw away from rival's last furlong.

2BALIUS  O Doleuze  (B)

No early pace, hampered early when jostling for spot raced 7 to 8Ls back, aided by solid tempo, still well back on bend, in traffic to 200 M, charged late when clear to produce a fast closing 2nd.

3VIVA PATACA  D Beadman  (H)

Standard jump, angled in from a wide gate to race 8Ls back in racing line, suited with strong pace on, made a run from 500 M, closed well to 200 M but peaked on run and lost 2nd late.

4PACKING WINNER  D Whyte

Bounced out, took a spot 3Ls back on fence behind pace pair, had a good trail in middle stages, saved ground on bend, kept on steadily along inside in straight to make frame.

5QUIJANO  A Starke

Standard jump, ended up in a midfield role 4 to 5Ls back on rails, not asked in middle stages, eased wide to make run at 500 M, didn't have turn of foot and simply held ground in run to line.

6MATSURIDA GOGH  M Ebina  (SR)

Fair to begin, pressed forward to race first without cover 2 to 3Ls back, did share of work on pair wide from 600 M, gradually improving quickly took lead at 100 M, unable to find extra gear at 200 M, flattened late.

7MUSICAL WAY  R Thomas  (SW)

No early pace, settled 7Ls back on rails, aided by solid tempo, not used on bend, back in traffic turning. Held up for a cleare run to 200 M, made nice ground when clear last furlong.

8HELENE MASCOT  F Coetzee  (TT)

Out on terms, assumed a midfield spot 5Ls back in running line, had an ideal run with speed on, struggling when asked to make run from 500 M, lacked usual dash and just battled in straight. (Abnormal breathing.)

9BULLISH CASH  B Prebble  (TT)

No early gate speed, ended up 8Ls back sharing rear, helped by solid pace in mid-section, still well back on bend, only managed to pass tired runners late.

10VIVA MACAU  M Nunes  (SW/TT)

Began smartly, took a spot behind leader, always chasing a strong gallop, improved to leaders girth from 700 M, struggling on turning and soon gave in dropping out in run to line.

11SIR SLICK  B Herd

Out OK and soon ridden along to take up running, ran field along 2Ls clear at a solid tempo, joined from 700 M, held a narrow lead on turning, soon passed and dropped out thereafter.
