Soon led from wide draw and was allowed an uncontested lead, kicked strongly passing 400M under 10lb claimer, drew well clear mid-straight and was never challenged in the run home.

Tracked leader, bustled along 450M but couldn't get closer to the eventual winner, fought hard and held on for 2nd.

3FRUITY WARRIOR  L Hewitson  (B-/TT)

Tracked the pace on inside, lacked the dash to challenge leader passing 300M, kept battling to the line to hold 3rd.
4RUNNING BOY  C Y Ho  (XB/TT-)

Chased leaders early before settling down in a position ahead of midfield, worked home steadily final 300M but was always held by first few.
5SETANTA  L Ferraris  (B/TT)

In midfield, held his position 7th entering home turn, fought on mildly passing 300M but found wanting closing stages.

Jumped awkwardly, settled towards the rear further back than intended for cover, made limited progress on straightening, never in the hunt.

From wide draw shifted across behind runners and taken back to last 10Ls off the pace early stages, had some work to do 400M but got home only fairly. Never involved.

Commenced only fairly then dropped back to near last early stages, about 8Ls to make up 400M, lacked a kick in the straight. (Jockey lost whip 100M.)

Jumped awkwardly and lost ground, given a waiting ride towards the rear, had the task ahead top of straight, failed to finish off.

Restrained in midfield 4Ls off the pace, similar position at the turn but couldn't go on with it, weakened rapidly final 200M.

Unable to slot in from draw 8, caught wide no cover chasing leaders for the majority of race, couldn't keep up 500M, weakened and finished tailed out. (Unacceptable Performance.)
