Pressed forward to share the lead from a wide gate, eased slightly backward coming onto home bend, renewed effort to take the lead into straight, hung on well under pressure.

Soon picked up to prominent 4th along the rail after moderate start, trailed race leader rounding home bend and into straight, failed to quicken to draw level throughout final stretch.

3UNIVERSAL HORIZON  C Y Ho

Began fairly, soon improved to prominent one-out-one-back position, dropped back to 2L 4th rounding home bend, fought on steadily under pressure without threatening In straight.

4SUPER SUNNY SING  K C Leung  (H)

Taken back from the widest gate, inconvenienced passing the 700 metres, remained wide without cover towards the rear to straight, made up good ground near the centre of the track, did best work late.

5BRAVE DREAMS  M Chadwick  (H/TT)

Crowded at start losing ground, detached from the main body of the field despite niggled along in back straight, saved ground turning for home and briefly baulked 300 metres out, produced good late run inside final 200 metres.

Niggled along in first few, gradually shifted back to 5th over 3L back passing the 900 metres, kept on steadily under pressure in home straight.

Settled in rear of midfield in 8th, lost position behind runners rounding home bend dropping to near last into straight, fought on well past beaten horses, did best work late.

Well back, awkward 3-wide on top of home bend, widest runner into home straight, fought on under pressure.

Pressed forward from a poor gate to take up running just over 900 metres out, held lead to the 400 metres and weakened. (Questioned for disappointing performance)

Soon dropped towards the rear on the rail, angled out for a run entering home straight, produced some late impression closing stages.

Soon dropped to 6th over 4L back near midfield despite ridden along early, kept on under pressure in straight before folding up quickly inside final 150 metres.
