Shifted back towards the rear from the widest gate, gained closer under pressure turning onto home bend, some 3L back in 8th entering home straight, ran on strongly under pressure to snatch victory final strides.

Sluggish at start, improved steadily under pressure before settling just behind the leader in 4th on the rail, quickened well to hit the front 200 metres out, only to be caught close to home.

Settled in rear, saved ground turning in, behind heels of horses inside the 200 metres, finished off the race well under pressure.

Persevered 5-wide without cover amongst the leaders, taken back swiftly for rails run in 2L 6th before making home bend, gained 4th entering home straight and fought on steadily without threatening.

5JOYFUL UNION  V Borges  (CP)

Inconvenienced at start, settled towards the rear on the rail, snuck up on the rail turning for home, fought on steadily under pressure without threatening.

Niggled along from a wide gate settling just worse than midfield in 8th, in similar position turning in, produced good late finish inside the final 150 metres.

Ridden along amongst the leaders, travelled alongside the leader rounding home bend, faded steadily after straightening.

Ridden along 4-wide amongst the leaders after beginning from a wide gate, taken 2-back 4-wide without cover in 5th coming onto home bend, lost position when the widest runner turning in, ran home one-paced.
