Reserved towards the rear, over 10Ls behind runaway leader in middle stages, picked up strongly passing 350M, sprinted to the lead 150M and kicked clear from rivals for a truly remarkable victory.
2SECRET WEAPON  Z Purton  (TT)

Behind midfield in 7th place, 8Ls off runaway leader turning for home, held up to 250M, ran on well without threatening MAURICE but got past a couple of classy overseas raiders to claim 2nd near line. Career best effort.
3STAPHANOS  C Soumillon  (H)

Caught 3-wide first turn, advanced to 3rd middle stages, sat 5Ls behind runaway leader, no match with winner's acceleration 250M, fought on well for minor placing final stages, got up for 3rd just in time.
4LOVELY DAY  H Bowman

Close up early stages, about 6Ls behind runaway leader mid-race, ran on well in straight without matching winner's finishing pace, held 2nd from 100M until closing stages.
5BLAZING SPEED  N Callan  (TT)

Settled in midfield, in 6th and 8Ls off the leader making the home turn, tried hard and kept giving to the line, finished not far behind minor place getters.

Tracked leader early stages, drifted back to midfield down the back-straight, 7Ls off runaway leader at 400M, kept grinding to the line, creditable performance against much higher rated rivals.

Towards the rear, over 10Ls off the strong pace in middle stages, last turning home, ran on moderately without threatening.

Slow to begin, dropped back to last over 10Ls behind runaway leader, bustled along 650M and brought wide into straight, couldn't accelerate enough to challenge main rivals.

Not hurried after the start, held up behind mid-division, ran on only fairly inside 400M, no threat to leaders.

Soon led from drawn 1, led slowly first 400M but quickened up from 2nd quarter, opened up 5Ls lead home turn, couldn't sustain run inside 200M, weakened rapidly.

Behind midfield in 8th or 9th place, much to do turning in but not able to quicken under pressure, never a threat.

Gradually moved forward from wide barrier, sat 2nd 4-5Ls behind runway leader middle stages, under pressure to hold his position 450M, soon weakened.
