Began well but not pushed, settling 3-back first turn. Not asked for an effort until passing 450m when urged forward, hitting front 200m and then finding more when challenged.
2VICTORY BOYS  B Prebble  (H)

No early pace, settling towards rear. Taken wide to go forward around final turn, loomed alongside leader 200m, battled strongly but just failed. Stipes reported jockey had restricted use of whip closing stages.
3SPINNING DANCER  G Lerena  (CP)

Hard ridden from an outside draw to get a forward position, settling one-off, three-back at first turn. Ran on steadily in the straight to grab 3rd position on the line.
4NOBLE DE MAN  K K Chiong

Pressed forward on jumping to share early lead, before settling three-parts of a length behind leader. Rolled forward around turn, joint leader 200m, no extra final stages.
5YEUNG SING  K Teetan  (CP)

Outpaced early, dropping to rear along rail. Switched out around final turn to go forward, taken to centre track in straight, ran on steadily without threatening.
6WISKY  C Y Ho  (B/TT)

Crowded out start, pushed forward inside leading pack before taking lead 1000m and slowing pace. Picked up momentum from 800m, boxed on to 200m before tiring. Restricted action behind and sore over the quarters.
7GRACEFUL KINGDOM  O Bosson  (CP-/XB/BO1)

Slow to move, hard ridden to go forward, racing 4-wide before getting cover first turn 2L from leader. Kept tabs on leading pack to straight, then one-paced.

Beaten for early pace, racing at rear to 900m when forced to switch out to avoid horse being pulled up. Kept wide around turn, taken to centre track in straight, boxed on one-paced.
9BRILLIANT MONKEYS  C K Tong  (TT)

Began well, pushed forward, settling two-back from leader. Lost position around turn, one-paced in straight.
10WIN IT  H N Wong  (CP)

Jumped with field, holding rail and settling in midfield. Got shuffled back to last around turn and only one-paced in straight under hard riding.
11THANKSGIVING  K C Ng  (B/XB)

Began fairly, urged forward then steadied 1500m when kept wide. Made long forward move from 1300m, looping field back stretch to get 3rd entering straight when flattened, finishing tailed out. Unacceptable performance.

Slow into stride, taken to fence, and made up some ground around first turn before breaking right front leg 900m and pulled up.
