Began well, hampered 1050m, settled three back along fence. Put under pressure 400m, got split 250m, charged home strongly. Rider dropped whip 200m.

Hard ridden from outside draw to stay with leaders in one-off, one-back position. Battled on gamely early in straight, one-paced final 200m.
