Comments

1THE PRINCE  Z Purton  (TT)

Positively ridden and cut over to the rails shortly after the start, allowed easy lead upfront, quickened up 400M, opened up 1.5L lead mid-straight, kept on well to deny fast finishing 2nd.

2HAPPY SURVEYS  J Moreira

Began awkwardly, lost ground on jumping, recovered to race along the fence in midfield, 4.5Ls off leader (winner) 400M, kicked home belatedly showing the best stride late, nearest finish.

3YO-YO DA  Y T Cheng  (H/TT)

Broke well, settled one-out-one-back, kept up the pursuit on winner in straight but was always held, lost 2nd concluding stages.

4BOTH LUCKY  H W Lai

Began only fairly, restrained in 5th 3Ls off the pace, lay in under pressure early straight, closed off steadily final 200M for modest 4th.

5FANTASTIC FEELING  D Whyte  (CP1)

Chased leaders 2-wide, stayed within striking distance always, kept on evenly final 400M but was always held by leaders.

6KING DERBY  A Suborics  (B)

Taken across behind runners, sat reserved along the fence 5Ls off the pace, driven 450M and taken wide leaving the bend, stayed on well without threatening first few.

7RUBY COAST  G Mosse  (B)

Began only fairly, took up position in the middle of the field, 3Ls off the pace 400M, ran on mildly for non-threatening 7th.

8FREE NOVEMBER  M Chadwick  (B-/H-)

Began well, sat just off the pace, pushed along 450M, not quickened under pressure, weakened final 200M.

9GREAT RUN  K Teetan  (B)

From wide draw taken across behind runners, travelled in rear pair 7Ls back, raced keenly under restraint early stages, made no real progress when driven 400M, never reached contention.

10OUR FOLKS  H N Wong  (H/TT)

Away well enough, intended to lead but did not muster early pace despite ridden in early stages, ended up behind midfield 5Ls off the pace, not picked up entering straight.

11EXPEDITE  M L Yeung  (PC-/H/XB/B2)

Eased back to the rear, detached and 9Ls off the pace 400M, never involved.

12FLYING ELITE  T H So  (B-)

Towards the rear, gave no response nearing top of straight, well beaten 200M, eased. (Jockey expressed concern regarding the action of his horse)
