Got a small bump on jumping, but pushed forward to sit just behind the leaders on the rail. Pulled out to challenge leader on turn, but took until 100m to get the nose in front. Didn't canter away, but was to strong late.
2PRECISION KING  B Prebble  (P)

Began well, and had no trouble getting to a share of the lead on the rails. Let down when challenged at the 300m. Briefly unbalanced at the 150m. Ran on strongly, but bested by the winner late.
3UNIVERSAL UNION  Z Purton  (B)

Began fairly, and found a position just behind midfield 1 off the fence when slightly unsettled. Got moving at 300m, and raced tight a couple of times in the straight. Best in a blanket finish for 3rd.
4TRAVEL FIRST  K Teetan  (CP1/TT1)

Began OK, but had no luck finding a position, sitting midfield 4 wide with no cover. Ran on well in the straight, despite racing tight on a couple of occasions, and was only beaten out late for third.
5BIG FOUR  K C Leung  (H)

Slow out of the gates then steadied soon after, settling second last. Bumped at the 950m. Came inside for a run in the straight, and finished off OK, just missing 4th.
6CHOICE TREASURE  M L Yeung

OK away, and taken forward to sit in a handy position 3 wide with no cover. Ran on well in the straight, and running on for third, before weakening and swamped in the last 100m.
7RACING HERO  H N Wong  (B/TT)

Dropped back from the wide gate to sit wide and clear last. Came wide on turn, and was running on OK. Awkward on heels late, but not threatening a place.
8RAINBOW FIGHTER  C K Tong  (XB/TT)

Moderately away, and went back from the wide barrier to sit 3rd last. Unbalanced 950m. Widest in the straight, and plugged away without threatening.
9MARVEL TRIBE  N Callan  (B)

Only fairly away and pushed up to sit midfield 3 wide with cover. Luckless trying to get a run in the straight. Awkward on heels 250m, and then checked out of a run at 200m losing any chance of finishing off the race.
10MAJESTIC ANTHEM  D Lane  (B/TT)

Began well, and established a handy position behind the leaders with cover. Faded from the 300m, and played no part in the finish.
11GLORIOUS LAD  D Whyte

OK away, and sat just in front of mid, near the rails with cover. Didn't respond when asked the question, and dropped out from the 200m.
12LANG TAI SING  N Rawiller  (B)

Began OK, and eased forward to sit midfield, 1 off the fence. Under pressure from the turn, but never responded and eased out late.
13APPROVE  K C Ng  (B2/TT)

Kicked well, and pushed ahead to share the lead, one off the fence. Under pressure on turn, and faded badly. Not persevered with in the straight.
14QUATERNION EAGLE  A Suborics

Stuck 3 and 4 wide early trying to settle, before being hampered at the 1000m. Eventually got into a position behind midfield 3 wide. Weakened badly from the turn, and found to have been bled.
